Taryn Reid Photography bio picture

Aloha!

Hi, my name is Ashley.  There's a good chance you're confused because of my name and you're on the Taryn Reid Blog.  Alright, let me break it down...TARYN is my middle name and REID is my husband's first name. When I started my business I took both our whole names and smacked it up. flipped it. and rubbed it down. and out came TARYN REID PHOTOGRAPHY!...HOLLA!

I'm appreciative and thankful, I laugh out loud a lot, I love a good comedy, I love to meet new people and I try to stay in touch with old friends (thank you Facebook).  I can talk for hours about the iphone because I think it's the best invention ever.  I'm independent but dependent if that makes any sense.  I'm big on hugs and if you're on a shoot with me don't be shocked when I hug you at end of the session.  That's just how I roll :)

I'm currently working on my website so my blog will have my most recent work.  I'll also be posting freebies if I come across them, giveaways of my own, and random things I feel worthy or sharing.

Mahalo for stopping by!

A Chicken, A Dragon, and Tinkerbell |Hawaii Family Photographer|

Every year I get nervous around Halloween time. The pressure of dressing up and what you’re going to dress the children as each year gives me an anxiety attack. It really comes down to the moola. I dont’ want to spend it. All the costumes that the kids wanted were upwards...

Lunching with the ladies

I’m so lucky or is the word spoiled? My awesome friend and boss took us ladies out to a fabulous lunch at Mariposa. I’ve been there three or four times and everytime it’s with Angie.  I really love that place.  The atmosphere is perfect for lunch and the food is delicious.  The popovers alone...

Queen of Hawaii

I got a call from my friend, Marky, who is a fabulous makeup artist. He said he had a client who wanted to take pictures. So, nonchalantly I say “ok”.  I  had no idea what we were about to do was going to blow my mind.
Tiana Ann Dersen was crowned Queen of Hawaii...

Fashion. Friends. Fabulous!

This post is the result of a few photographer friends hanging out at Starbucks. We all used our resources and in a few days we were on location getting ready to shoot Miss Sarah.  We all had a great time.  Lots of laughs and a lot of bumping each other in true paparazzi fashion....

I’ve known Drew and Evina since high school..wait! I’ve known Evina since elementary.  How could I forget she was my JPO boss.  Do you remember that Evina?  We were so cool holding our stop sign and wearing our yellow hats.  Actually, you had a white hat and a whistle and I had the sign.  If...
